Funday Sweets

Gluten free lollies can be hard to find, but my sister saw these pop up at the cash register at our local Woolworths last week – and decided we had to try them!

They were are great texture, a little harder than other lollies, but still chewy. The flavour was also good! Each lolly is a little smaller than gluten brands, but this isn’t a bad thing, just different!

With the individual size packs, these would be a great substitute for lolly bags, trick or treating, or adding to Christmas stockings.

One thing to be aware of though, is that they do have artificial sweeteners. While they gave me a bit of a sore tummy (I’m very sensitive to artificial sweeteners), my daughter loves them and eats them with no problems at all.

Hi! I’m Jo. Wife to a kiwi, mum to teenagers.

When that diagnosis first comes, it can feel overwhelming and life changing. Suddenly, life as you know it has changed. Spontaneity is replaced by meticulous planning. Take away dinners are swapped for home cooked meals. Familiar brands are substituted with the unknown.

But it doesn’t have to mean the end of joy. Good food, party invites, and family adventures can still be a big part of your life. It just takes a little extra planning, a little support, and a little inspiration!
