Strawberry + Weet-bix Stack

This weet-bix stack is perfect for before or after school, or as a snack before after school sports. It can easily be prepared by a child with supervision (as chopping is required for the fruit), however be warned, the weet-bix does get a little messy when crumbling!

Our girl loves to eat this in a glass (as it feels a bit fancy!), but it can be served in any bowl or container you desire, and while she makes it with milk, I prefer yoghurt… Be sure to let me know how your prefer it!

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: n/a

Ingredients:
Gluten free weet-bix
Strawberries / Bananas / Blueberries (or any soft fruit of choice)
Milk / Yoghurt

Method for milk:
Crush up a layer of weet-bix in the bottom of the glass
Add layer of sliced fruit
Add second layer of crushed weet-bix
Finish with layer of sliced fruit
Pour over milk to desired level

Method for yoghurt:
Crush up layer of weet-bix in the bottom of the glass
Add layer of yoghurt
Add layer of sliced fruit
Add layer of crushed weet-bix
Add layer of yoghurt
Add layer of sliced fruit to finish

We hope you enjoy this quick treat as much as we do!

Hi! I’m Jo. Wife to a kiwi, mum to teenagers.

When that diagnosis first comes, it can feel overwhelming and life changing. Suddenly, life as you know it has changed. Spontaneity is replaced by meticulous planning. Take away dinners are swapped for home cooked meals. Familiar brands are substituted with the unknown.

But it doesn’t have to mean the end of joy. Good food, party invites, and family adventures can still be a big part of your life. It just takes a little extra planning, a little support, and a little inspiration!
