The best gluten free spaghetti bolognaise

Like all kids, mine love a good spaghetti bolognaise, and this one, is so good.

I swear the secret is in the mince – it’s a combination of beef and pork, and it just makes the flavour so good.

Prep time: Less than 5 minutes
Cooking time: 10-15 minutes

Ingredients:
1kg beef and pork mince (if your supermarket or butcher doesn’t sell a combination pack, just use a 50/50 combination)
1 brown onion
San Remo gluten free spaghetti
Passata sauce (I like to use Leggo’s Italian Herbs Passata 700g jar)

Method:
1. Put the pasta on to boil
2. Chop the onion, and fry it in a large pan with the mince, frying until brown.
3. Strain the pasta, and put back in the pot. Add in the mince / onions, and the sauce. Stir through.

Serve with shredded tasty cheese or parmesan if desired, but I think it’s perfect as is.

When that diagnosis first comes, it can feel overwhelming and life changing. Suddenly, life as you know it has changed. Spontaneity is replaced by meticulous planning. Take away dinners are swapped for home cooked meals. Familiar brands are substituted with the unknown.

But it doesn’t have to mean the end of joy. Good food, party invites, and family adventures can still be a big part of your life. It just takes a little extra planning, a little support, and a little inspiration!
